1. Booking & Payment
Reservations: To secure a boat or tour, please contact us directly. We will confirm availability and schedule your meeting time.
No Security Deposit: Unlike many other rental companies, we do not require a security deposit or prepayment to reserve a boat. We trust our guests, but we ask for mutual respect regarding cancellations.
Payment Methods: We accept Cash and all major Credit Cards on the day of the rental.
2. Boat Rental Requirements (Self-Drive)
Licence-Free Boats: Anyone 18+ years old can rent our small engine boats (up to 30HP). No licence is required, but a valid ID/Passport is mandatory.
Speedboats (Licence Required): For high-power boats, the operator must present a valid Speedboat License issued in their home country (EU or International equivalent).
Alcohol & Drugs: The operator must remain sober. Operating a vessel under the influence is strictly prohibited by Greek Maritime Law.
3. Fuel Policy
A. Self-Drive Rentals:
Fuel is not included in the rental price.
Pay for Consumption: You depart with a full tank. Upon return, we measure the fuel consumed, and you are charged only for the liters used at the current market price.
B. Private Skippered Tours:
All-Inclusive: For our Private Boat Tours, the price quoted includes the cost of fuel, the skipper’s fee, and insurance. There are no hidden extra charges at the end of the trip.
4. Operating Hours & Area
Rental Duration: Daily rentals start at 08:00 and must return by 16:30 at the latest.
Late Returns: Late returns disrupt our safety checks for the next day. Significant delays may incur additional charges.
Distance Limits (Licence-Free): You are permitted to cruise up to Koutsoupia Beach (North) and Dias Islet (West). You must strictly remain within 6 nautical miles of the coast.
Forbidden Areas (Self-Drive): You must not cross to Zante or Ithaca on a licence-free boat.
5. Damages & Insurance
Third-Party Insurance: All our boats are insured for Third-Party Liability (injury to others/sea pollution) as required by Greek Law.
Damage to the Boat (Self-Drive): Insurance does not cover damage to the rental boat itself caused by misuse (e.g., hitting rocks, propeller damage, lost anchors, burnt upholstery). The renter is responsible for the cost of repairing such damage.
Private Tours: For skippered tours, the Captain is responsible for the safety of the vessel. Guests are not liable for navigation-related damages.
6. Weather & Cancellations
Captain’s Call: Safety is our priority. If we deem weather conditions unsafe (high winds/swell), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the booking.
Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can release the boat to other guests.
7. Safety & Equipment
Briefing: A mandatory 20-minute safety briefing is conducted before departure for self-drive boats. We will teach you how to operate the engine, anchor, and navigate.
GPS Tracking: All our boats are equipped with GPS trackers. We monitor your location for safety. If you enter a dangerous area or stop moving for an unusual time, we will contact you.
Children: Children must wear life jackets at all times while the boat is moving.
Pets: Dogs are welcome on board, but please ensure they are safe and do not damage the upholstery.
